Football on a Bank Holiday Monday?

Unusual for Thistle to play on a Monday evening, especially a Bank Holiday Monday. When the weather is also unusual for the time of year. The sun is splitting the skies and there is warmth in the sun. For once the long-range weather forecast is spot on for Glasgow.

What have you been doing today?

There are only 4 hours left before kick-off at the SMiSA Paisley.

Have you been aimlessly wandering about?

Checking all your pre-match superstitions have been fulfilled. Wearing what you had on at the Wyre last Thursday or throughout the season.

How many times have you checked that your PAPER ticket is safely in your purse or wallet.

Double checked the departure time of the Supporter’s Bus, First Bus or ScotRail. Or did you check the map for somewhere to park your car somewhere near the stadium.

Although I’m not physically there at present, I’m sure you can actually feel the nerves pervading Firhill at this moment in time.

After the season we’ve had under Mark Wilson and Alex Rae we won’t let nerves, feelings of nausea and anxiety to knock us off course.

No matter where you are watching this vital match, Thursday evenings first leg of the Play-Off showed, we will all have the players backs. We believe!

Singing, cheering, banging the drums and shouting are essentials!

Few prayers may also be necessary.

Don’t start biting your nails just yet as you may need them in just under 4 hours’ time.

Good luck to one and all and make great memories!

C’mon the Jags!
